Lost animals may be reported by calling the nonemergency police phone number, (262) 242-3500. Be ready to provide a description to the dispatcher, as well as contact information in the event the animal is found.
Stray animals may also be reported to the nonemergency number. Depending on the animal, officers may respond and transport a stray back to the Mequon Police Department. If we are unsuccessful in finding the owner, the Ozaukee Humane Society is then contacted for pickup. Please use caution when approaching stray animals.
