The Mequon Police Department has started a new service for the citizens of Mequon. Anyone can send in anonymous tips to the police department via a cell phone or webpage. The service allows us to respond back to the tipster to get more information if needed. Technology removes all identifying information before the Police Department sees it so there’s no way to identify the sender. When someone feels afraid to come forward, or simply feels like they don’t want to get involved – this can be a great way to pass information on without fear of retribution.
To send an anonymous tip via text message to the Mequon Police Department, text the keyword MQPD and your message to 847411 (tip411). Anonymous web tips can also be submitted right from a link on the Police Departments website at WWW.MEQUONPD.COM.
