ADMINISTRATION
The Administrative Division is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of all police services.  The Administrative Division provides, coordinates, and documents the training of all personnel within the department.  The Unified Training Committee develops training programs that will enhance and maintain the excellence of the personnel within the department.  This Committee is made up of certified training officers from within the department.  These training programs are held in-house and include:  Taser training, proper evidence packaging, defense and arrest tactics, weapons use, and emergency vehicle operations, to name a few.

The Police Department operates with one part-time clerical member during normal business hours; 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The clerk’s responsibilities are also varied:  greeting people at the lobby window; handling numerous open records requests; receiving payments for citations, burning permits, weapons discharge permits, etc.; citizen questions; accident reports; and a considerable amount of typing and filing.  The clerk’s presence is essential to the administrative aspect of our records system.
